Castagra Industrial Coating

MSPIs worked with the Canadian company Castagra on industrial coating for this project. Castagra makes a range of products out of a patented plastic technology. The company and its founder have received numerous ‘green’ awards. For this project, we performed a Strategic Life Cycle Analysis. We explored the product from the mine and field to its use and application. The purpose was to identify sustainability issues from a broad systems level and resulted in estimations of the product’s carbon footprint (seen here) and recommendations to the company for where and how to make the product more sustainable.
