Moving into the spring semester, it’s time to look back at some of the student projects done in the courses of the autumn semester.

Knowledge Enabled Engineering

The students of the first year, completed their first semester by presenting the Knowledge Enabled Engineering projects. Two groups presented an impact measuring device for rugby and a warning system for epilepsy respectively.

A project in the PSS Extreme Innovation course at BTH has developed a Med Tech Leg Rest.

This project was about coming with an extreme PSS idea in collaboration with a partner company. This group worked with an entrepreneurial nurse who has developed a new device to make her job easier! The Project Team suggested several improvements and then made a physical prototype to show how the improved leg-rest could work.

On January 19, 2012 MSPI students presented their results from the 15 credit project course Product-Service System Extreme Innovation.

The three teams were;

  • Team MedTech: project within healthtech development
  • Team Volvo: project with Volvo Construction Equipment
  • Team Dynapac: project with Dynapac Compaction Equipment

The teams have worked with the future challenges of these partners and developed concepts, scenarios and prototypes to be revealed on Jan 19.
