Dynapac guest lecture at BTH

Magnus Fast, Product Responsible, from Dynapac Compaction Equipment gave a guest lecture in the Value Innovation course at BTH.

For the gathered people (students from Industrial Economy, Mechanical Engineering, MSPI, and staff of BTH) Magnus told the story of how Dynapac work with value engineering in their development of new asphalt rollers.

The Value Innovation course is part of the MSPI, Industrial Economics, and Mechanical Engineering programs.

MSPIs & BTH alumni in sustainability & innovation workshop at SAPA

As part of the MSPI program, students have the chance to visit some of the company partners during their studies. In October 2011, the students and staff from BTH visited Sapa Heat Transfer in Finspång, where they participated in a workshop focusing on value chain collaboration.

Ye Yan, a gradudate of our sister program (MSLS), has been working for some years at Sapa Heat Transfer was the host of the meeting.

PSS Extreme Innovation project presentations

On January 19, 2012 MSPI students presented their results from the 15 credit project course Product-Service System Extreme Innovation.

The three teams were;

Team MedTech: project within healthtech development
Team Volvo: project with Volvo Construction Equipment
Team Dynapac: project with Dynapac Compaction Equipment

The teams have worked with the future challenges of these partners and developed concepts, scenarios and prototypes to be revealed on Jan 19.

The Master’s Programme in Sustainable Product-Service Innovation (MSPI) was started in response to an interest from industry to have graduates with competence in product / service development and sustainability. The companies listed here have supported the MSPI programme with their time, expertise, and enthusiasm — helping both to ensure that the curriculum in the MSPI programme is relevant to industry today and in the near future, while also agreeing to assist with study visits and student projects.
